Semester Long Project Conclusion

My group and I have put our chalkboards that we created, in the learning commons of the school, to promote the issue of gender equality. We decorated them with colourful chalk and made them look attractive so that they would get attention. We then put up posters and flyers up around the school, to encourage students to write what they feel about the issue of gender equality on our chalkboards. Our chalkboards were put on on January the 8th and will continue to be up until January the 17th. Many students and teachers have already started to write on our chalkboards, and they are starting to look like what we imagined before starting this project. I find it really touching and interesting to see what other people feel about this topic. I am so happy and thrilled that my group and I accomplished this project because it gave the people of St. Francis High School the opportunity to share what they think and how they feel about a topic that our current world struggles with. Reflecting on this semester long project, I am overall happy with what my group learned and what we accomplished. We brought awareness to an issue that many countries and people are struggling with within the world. Beyond this project, I will continue to bring awareness to the issue of gender equality and encourage others to learn more about the topic, and eventually help put an end to it!

Below are two pictures of our finished chalkboards in the learning commons of the school (as you can see people have already started to write what "gender equality" means to them):
